The State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Yakubu Maikasuwa SAN, appreciated the Governor for his support to the Judiciary, citing various initiatives aimed at uplifting the standard of the judiciary in the state.

The Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Jalingo Branch, Barrister Dahiru Abubakar Mustapha, commended the Governor for his leadership style and support to the Judiciary.

The Guest Speaker, Professor Alphonsus Oko SAN, spoke on the theme “Beyond The Present” and emphasized the need for Judicial Integrity, promoting the rule of law, and enhancing access to justice.

“The Judiciary is gradually losing its Integrity in the eyes of the public, and it’s time for members to work towards regaining the lost glory,” Professor Oko said.

The 2024 Law Week, with the theme “Beyond the Present”, drew members of the Bar and Bench from within and outside the state, aiming to explore and challenge themselves in building a sustainable society and a legal profession that works for all.
