Juventus are preparing to make a blockbuster move for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, with Italian media reporting that the Serie A giants are willing to offer around €120 million to secure his signature.
The Turin-based club previously attempted to sign the 25-year-old before he completed his move to Galatasaray two years ago. Now, amid a disappointing campaign, Juventus are expected to launch a major transfer offensive in the summer as they look to re-establish themselves as dominant forces in Italian football.
Osimhen has recently fuelled speculation by expressing his admiration for the Bianconeri. In a recent interview, he described Juventus as “one of the most important clubs in football history,” adding that it is a team where he could envision himself thriving and feeling at home.
Despite Juventus’s interest, prising the forward away from Galatasaray will not come cheap. The Turkish club is reportedly holding out for a fee in the region of €150 million for their star striker, who has been in sensational form this season.
Osimhen previously spent four successful years in Italy, where he won the Serie A title with Napoli and established himself as one of Europe’s most lethal forwards, before continuing his career in Turkey.
