Statement signed by Usman Gwadabe,

“The chairman, through the Committee Secretary and Special Adviser on Administration, Akibu Isa Murtala, noted that the 115 approved centers, distribute 1,000 food packages daily to neediest,” the statement read.

Auwalu commended the food providers for adhering to specifications and ensuring hygienic feeding standards. He also warned vendors found breaching contractual agreements, saying they have been called to order and have adjusted.

“We are satisfied with the performance of the food providers, and we will continue to monitor the situation to ensure the programme’s success,” Auwalu said.

The Chairman thanked Governor Yusuf for increasing the centers from 95 last year to 115, citing his love and passion for helping the less privileged.

“I appeal to the people of Kano to continue praying for more blessings for Governor Yusuf, the administration, Kano, and the nation as a whole,” Auwalu added.

The programme’s success was also attributed to the efforts of the 40-man main committee and other ad-hoc committees, which have reported satisfactory progress.
