Kogi Guber: Why SDP’s Murtala Yakubu Ajaka Is Preferable, By Henry Adaji Ibrahim
In a democracy, voting is not just a right; it’s a crucial responsibility, hence the power to choose a leader is a fundamental right and a solemn responsibility for every citizen of Kogi State in this coming election. It is the essence of self-improved governance and the bedrock upon which societies are built. When a government falls short, it’s essential to replace it with a leader who prioritizes the welfare of the people. This article highlights the importance of voting out a bad government and electing a humanitarian leader. You will agree with me that, the quality of governance vary greatly with the individual piloting the affairs and with what we have in our dear state, you will also agree with me that it is imperative we vote out these sets of persons and consider the merits of entrusting a humanitarian with the opportunity to lead our state come November 11, 2023.
Why must you vote out those in Government now? Note, I am not calling out a party(APC) because they are still good men amongst the party system only that those in power have failed to include them in their government. And this is because those in government are corrupt, with a track record of mismanagement, lack of transparency, and disregard for human rights. These issues have dire consequences, affecting the lives of millions of Kogites and the image of Nigeria before Transparency International and its likes. This government have done nothing but diverts public resources for private gain since its inception which has hindered development.
Below are what Yahaya Bello Government have achieved so far:
Mismanagement: Ineffective policies that have lead to economic crises and unemployment in the State and percentage salary payments
Lack of Transparency: Secrecy of policies and contracts awards that undermines trust and accountability.
Disregard for Human Rights: Infringement on basic rights that erodes democracy.
Why am I lending my voice to the numbers of people beckoning on an administration lead by Murtala Yakubu Ajaka as Governor Kogi State?…
Empathy and Compassion: The man Muri, prioritize people’s welfare and understand their struggles.
Accountability and Transparency: He pose as a man that listens and welcome scrutiny and respect public opinion.
Inclusivity: He has over the short period of time shown that he has the ability to promote unity and diversity.
Focus on Development: This one I need not tell everyone about his passion for development. He has invested in education, healthcare, and sustainable policies around the state.
Respect for Human Rights: This the nation at large can testify to with the matter ans approach he has taken on the several attacks and attempt on his life by thw state government. Yet he remained calm to protect the rights of all citizens.
Now to what you must do as a citizen.
Your Power is in the Ballot Paper and your PVC. And you must keenly guard them on the election day.
Voting is a potent tool for change. And to improve our society, we must vote out bad governments and support the Social Democratic Party candidate, the person of Murtala Ajaka and Sam Abenemi come 11/11. By doing so, we can pave the way for a brighter, more prosperous future foe our dear state.
Our responsibility lies in our vote, and it’s time to embrace it for the betterment of every citizen.
