President Bola Tinubu on Thursday appealed to all candidates participating in the November 11 gubernatorial elections in Bayelsa, Imo, and Kogi States, as well as the electorate, to ensure free and fair elections.

He expressed optimism about the party’s chances of victory, noting the hard work and records of the candidates, as well as the collective efforts of party officials.
“All I am pleading for is for free and fair elections. I believe we will do well,” the President stated.
President Tinubu highlighted the importance of fair and transparent elections for the development of democracy in Nigeria. He urged all stakeholders to play their role in ensuring that the elections are credible and free of violence.
The President also expressed confidence in the ability of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to conduct credible elections. He urged the electoral body to remain impartial and uphold the highest standards of transparency and accountability.
The APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, commended the President for his commitment to democracy and good governance. He assured the President that the APC was prepared to win the upcoming elections in all three states.
The APC standard-bearers in Bayelsa, Imo, and Kogi States, Chief Timipre Sylva, Governor Hope Uzodinma, and Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, respectively, pledged their commitment to fair and transparent elections.
