Lekki, Nigeria, 21st January 2024 – The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has ushered in a new era of maritime trade with the arrival of the Maersk Edirne, the largest container vessel ever to grace Nigerian waters. The towering behemoth, measuring an impressive 367 meters in length and carrying a staggering 3,376 cargo units, docked gracefully at the Lekki Deep Seaport on Sunday.

Previously, the title of “largest vessel” belonged to the MV Stadelhorn and MSC Maureen, which docked at Onne and Tincan Island Ports respectively.
