… Urges Nigerians To Pray For Political Leaders

Executive Secretary Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission, NCPC, Bishop Stephen Adegbite has said the economic hardship Nigeria is experiencing currently experiencing is occasioned by global recession.
Adegbite disclosed this in his message titled “Message of hope and encouragement to Nigerians in the face of dwindling economic situation in the country” urging Nigerians to exercise patience and be optimistic that things would soon turn around for good in the country.
The NCPC Boss who spoke during a courtesy visit to the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, His Eminence, Archbishop Daniel Okoh in his office at the CAN Secretariat , Abuja, recently, said President Bola TInubu has good intentions for the citizenry, urging Nigerians to pray for those at the helm of affairs in the country.
Meanwhile, the newly appointed Executive Secretary promised that he would use his office to foster unity among the citizens of this country.
Adegbite said without peace in the land there would be no meaningful development.
He, however, reiterated his readiness to work for church and for the good of the country.”This assignment belongs to you and the body of Christ,” he said.
The ES assured CAN leader that the Commission under his leadership would collaborate with the association to make Pilgrimage a life transforming experience.
Adegbite disclosed that the Commission plans to sponsor pilgrims to the Holy land especially those who are disadvantaged.
In his response, the President of CAN His Eminence, Archbishop Daniel Okoh described the NCPC boss as a
defender of the Faith, a co- labourer in the vineyard of God.
Archbishop Okoh thanked God for the appointment of Bishop Stephen Adegbite as the Executive Secretary of NCPC.
The President of CAN said he was aware of the challenges facing the Commission in terms of funding and the rest, however, he promised to continue to uphold the Commission in prayer.
“You have demonstrated great understanding of Pilgrimage over the years , prior to your appointment. You have what it takes to pilot the affairs of NCPC to higher heights,” he said.
The CAN president urged ES to continue to bring people together so that the Commission would leverage on it to bring everyone together under one body.
He prayed for the success of the government of President Bola TInubu and the First Lady, Senator Oluremi TInubu.
“The President and the First Lady have extended their hands of fellowship to the apex Christian body. If we want to be happy, we should pray for those in authority in the country to succeed”, he said.
