Executive Secretary Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission, Bishop Stephen Adegbite has said that the Commission would commence this year’s Easter pilgrimage exercise by the end of May.
Adegbite disclosed this while receiving a non governmental organization, Sweet Home Africa , a humanitarian foundation who paid him courtesy visit in his office, Abuja, recently.
The NCPC boss said that the Easter pilgrimage would commence in May and run through July while the main Pilgrimage would commence in November and would run through February , next year.
He expressed his management team’s determined to leave a lasting legacy in the Commission.
The ES said NCPC mandate is beyond pilgrimage as the Commission is also a veritable platform to foster unity among Nigerians irrespective of denomination and faith.
He further assured that the present administration of President Bola Ahmed TInubu has a human face and as such he enjoined everyone to support the government so that they would be able to deliver the dividends of democracy to the citizenry.
He maintained that with the support from Nigerians the image of NCPC would certainly be restored. ” We shall restore the image of NCPC together”, he said.
Earlier, the founder of Sweet Home Africa, Rev Austin Epunam said he could not contain himself for joy when the news of the appointment of the Executive Secretary was made known.
Apunam assured the NCPC boss that the best was yet to come, that the lost glory of the Commission would be restored.
He pledged his unflinching support for the Commission, while praying that the NCPC Scribe would serve well, and would finish his tenure successfully.
