The new Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Okpella Division, CSP Bodeji Amos, has pledged to collaborate with the Okuokpellagbe of Okpella, HRH Engr. Akemokue Lukman, to enhance security and peace in Okpella.

In response, HRH Engr. Akemokue Lukman expressed his commitment to zero tolerance for any form of criminality, stating, “I have zero tolerance for any form of criminality and I pledge to collaborate with the DPO and heads of other security agencies to protect my people.”

The Okuokpellagbe further announced plans to appoint a Chief Security Advisor to work with security agencies and ensure peace and security in Okpella, aligning with the vision of the Executive Governor of Edo State, H.E Senator Monday Okpebholo.

This development is a significant step towards enhancing security in Okpella, building on previous efforts by the Okuokpellagbe to address security challenges in the area.

The collaboration between the DPO and the Okuokpellagbe is expected to yield positive results, ensuring a safer and more secure environment for the people of Okpella.

The courtesy visit by the DPO to the Okuokpellagbe demonstrates the importance of building relationships between security agencies and community leaders. By working together, they can share intelligence, coordinate efforts, and develop effective strategies to address security challenges.

The appointment of a Chief Security Advisor by the Okuokpellagbe is also a welcome development. This advisor will play a crucial role in coordinating security efforts and ensuring that the community is adequately protected.
