New PS Urges Innovation, Team Work To Advance Road Infrastructure Dev’t

The newly deployed Permanent Secretary (PS) to the Ministry of Works, Mr Yakubu Kofarmata, has stressed the importance of innovation and teamwork in the ministry towards realising the President’s Renewed Hope agenda in infrastructural development, especially in road construction and rehabilitation for ease of doing business in all sectors of the Nigerian economy.
Kofarmata who made the remark upon assumption of work in the ministry expressed delight that he was be back to the ministry where he previously served as an assistant director, especially as he saw that a good number of those he worked with were still present.
According to him, that was an indication that the Ministry of Works is a place that can bring the needed change in the country.
Emphasising the need to work together for change, Kofarmata said, “I come here as a brother, friend, and colleague, so we have to work together to help the President as well as the Honorable Minister to achieve all that they have spelt out in their agenda.”
He expressed optimism that his leadership would be a new beginning for innovation that would bring the desired change at the level of the ministry and the nation at large, according to a statement from the ministry, signed by the Director of Information, Blessing Lere-Adams.
