Leadership and management expert, Dr Pius David Bako, has called on Nigerians to seek more leadership skills to bridge existing gaps for shared societal progress an prosperity.
Dr Bako, according to a statement made available to SUMMIT POST NEWS, made the call on the occasion of his conferment with an honorary doctorate degree in Abuja by the Institute of Leadership Manpower and Management Development (ILMMD).
The quality leadership advocate was conferred with Honorary Doctorate of Transformational Leadership, Conflict Resolution and Management Development (Honoris Causa) during the 30th/31st induction ceremony of the institute.
He further stressed the need for all to see themselves as leaders irrespective of the position they hold and where they find themselves.
He was also inducted as a Platinum Fellow of the Institute as a professional who has distinguished himself in his chosen field while contributing to and impacting society.
ILMMD, an APHA University licensed under the Laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (LFN) has an affiliation with the Eminence University, Brighton, Denver, Colorado, USA.
It is also fully accredited by the Federal Government of Nigeria through the Federal Ministry of Education and licensed by the Corporate Affairs Commission as a professional body of leadership, manpower (Human Resources) and management development.
Dr Pius Bako is currently working in the Nigerian power sector. He is a seasoned regulatory specialist and has been certified as a customer service trainer by the Service Quality Institute (SQI), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA (Alumni).
According to the statement, Dr Bako’s 25 years of Regulatory expertise is dedicated to ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.
He is eager to leverage extensive knowledge and proven track record to drive regulatory excellence and facilitate business growth within an organisation.
Dr Bako was recognised for his regulatory contributions and myriads of leadership competencies and organisational management in his field of endeavours.
It is also for his contribution to utility regulation, leadership, manpower, administration, and management development in society, and his academic attainment both from Nigeria and other international institutions where he attended a lot of.capacity-building programmes.
During the conferment, Dr Theophilus Cornerstone, Director of Membership Services for the institute who represented the Board of Directors, charged the awardees to show their leadership proficiency and honesty wherever they found themselves.
