The Commandant-General (CG) of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr Ahmed Audi, has retired from service after reaching the mandatory retirement age and completing his tenure.
Audi, who assumed office on March 1, 2021, celebrated his last day in office while commemorating the 2026 World Civil Defence Day at the NSCDC Headquarters, Abuja.
“The Commandant-General, Dr Ahmed Audi, on Friday bowed out of service, after reaching the mandatory retirement age and completing his tenure,” a statement by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) read.
Audi, who hails from Nasarawa, was born on September 30, 1967. He holds a PhD in Public Administration from Nasarawa State University Keffi and a Master’s in Public Business Administration from University of Calabar, and is also a member of the National Institute (mni).
The Federal Government is yet to announce Audi’s successor.
