The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kano State Command, has terminated the appointments of five volunteer personnel over allegations of misconduct, unprofessional behaviour, and gross indiscipline.
The affected individuals are Yakubu Mubarak Yusuf, Isma’il Muhd, Adamu Auwalu, Abdulrazaq Suleiman, and Ahmad Sarki.
This was contained in a statement issued on Tuesday by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Ibrahim Abdullahi.
The statement explained that the decision followed approval by the State Commandant, Commandant Mohammed Hassan Agalama, after a thorough review of the officers’ conduct, which was found to be in violation of the Corps’ ethical standards, operational guidelines, and core values.
It noted that all issued uniforms, identification cards, accoutrements, and other official items in their possession have been retrieved by the Command.
The Command further instructed area commanders, divisional heads, and other relevant officers across Kano State to ensure the dismissed personnel are no longer recognised or engaged in any official dealings with the Corps.
Reaffirming its stance, the NSCDC Kano Command stressed its zero tolerance for indiscipline, warning that any personnel found guilty of actions capable of damaging the image of the Corps would face strict disciplinary measures.
It also reiterated its commitment to professionalism, discipline, and efficient service delivery in carrying out its statutory responsibilities.
