The apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, has congratulated the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, on her 58th birthday, commending her contributions to national development and public service.

‎In a statement issued on Wednesday by its National Publicity Secretary, Ezechi Chukwu, the organisation described the minister as a distinguished leader whose career has reflected dedication, patriotism and excellence.

‎Ohanaeze noted that before becoming foreign affairs minister, Mrs Odumegwu-Ojukwu built an impressive record as a lawyer, diplomat and former ambassador, consistently promoting Nigeria’s interests at home and abroad.

‎The group also highlighted her achievements in pageantry, recalling that she won the Miss Nigeria, Miss Africa and Miss Intercontinental titles. It said her accomplishments have made her a role model for Ndigbo, Nigerian women and young people across the country.

‎According to the organisation, the minister’s commitment to public service and diplomacy has continued to project Nigeria positively on the global stage.

‎Ohanaeze President-General, Azuta Mbata, described Mrs Odumegwu-Ojukwu as a worthy ambassador of the values associated with the Igbo people.

‎He said she exemplifies resilience, dignity, brilliance and excellence, adding that her achievements continue to inspire many.

‎Mr Mbata prayed that God would grant the minister good health, wisdom and greater strength as she marks her 58th birthday, urging her to continue serving Nigeria and humanity with distinction.
