Lafia – Rt. Hon. David Emmanuel Ombugadu has expressed appreciation to voters in Nasarawa North Senatorial District following the June 20, 2026 ballot, saying their solidarity despite the outcome “have left an indelible mark on me.”
In a statement to constituents, Ombugadu acknowledged the election result while praising the resilience of voters. “My dear brothers and sisters of Nasarawa North, Yesterday, 20th June 2026, we stood together at the ballot. Though the result did not go our way, your support and show of solidarity in the face of daunting challenges have left an indelible mark on me,” he said.
He described the conduct of voters across the district as inspiring. “Your courage, sacrifices, and unwavering belief inspired me to stay resolute, ready, and focused on our collective agenda. I saw strength in every polling unit, hope in every conversation, and dignity in the way you stood for what you believe is right,” Ombugadu stated.
The former House of Representatives member insisted the campaign’s goal remains unchanged despite losing. “We lost this election, but we did not lose our purpose. In the coming days, as we engage with other stakeholders, our resolve will only grow stronger. Every commitment we made to you, we shall work assiduously to fulfill,” he said.
Ombugadu reaffirmed his 2027 ambition and called for unity. “Our cardinal objective remains intact and alive in high spirit: to see a better Nasarawa State, and by God’s grace, to serve as your Governor come 2027. This journey of hope continues. I call on all of us to remain united, to keep the faith, and to prepare for the work ahead.”
He said he will meet communities directly for feedback on the next steps. “I look forward to engaging you and your communities directly for frank feedback and to chart the best way forward, together,” he added.
