The attorney-general of Osun state has filed a suit seeking a court order to compel the inspector-general of police (IGP) and the commissioner of police to investigate the death threat issued by Francis Fadahunsi, senator representing Osun east, against Accord members.
The suit was filed at the Osun high court in Osogbo on Wednesday.
Respondents in the suit are the IGP and Osun police commissioner, while Fadahunsi was listed as “person affected/interested party”.
Sen. Fadahunsi was on Tuesday caught on a camera urging APC members in the state to unalive any Accord Party member seen.
“Until the day of election, when you see any Accord Party member, kill them,” the senator said.
Although, he has come out to deny that the statement as interpreted and circulated widely was not what he meant, saying he meant killing the Accord Party members in the state with votes.
