“We started thinking, should we drop all the staff? But if we drop all the staff, ministry will not go on,” Damina said. “So Mama and I started calculating, what do we do? Things were really getting really tight and really bad and really tough, but we never told you, we just come to church, smile, teach you the Word of God, go home and just pray and just walk with God in our experience.”
Damina emphasised that the decision to downsize was not taken lightly and was done to ensure the ministry’s survival. He expressed his commitment to continuing the ministry’s work, even in the face of financial challenges.
“If God makes money available in the future, we go back,” he said. “We are not impressing anybody at this level. We have gone past impressing people.”
