A tragic plane crash occurred at Mesquite Metro Airport in Texas, where a pilot lost their life shortly after takeoff.
The incident happened when a Cessna CitationJet took off around 7:40 a.m. on Thursday with only the pilot on board. Moments after takeoff, the aircraft crashed into a wooded area, leading to the pilot’s death.
Authorities confirmed that no homes or structures were affected by the crash. The Mesquite Police Department and Fire Department responded promptly to the scene.
Home surveillance footage captured thick smoke rising from the crash site, adding to the chilling aftermath of the incident. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is currently investigating the cause of the crash.
