PSC Releases Names Of 50,000 Successful Police Constable Recruits ‎

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has announced the release of the list of 50,000 candidates who successfully secured recruitment into the Constable cadre of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).

‎

‎The commission’s Head of Protocol and Public Relations, Torty Kalu, disclosed this in a statement issued on Wednesday in Abuja.

‎

‎Kalu explained that the publication of the successful candidates followed the completion of a recruitment process described as comprehensive, fair, transparent and inclusive.

‎

‎He said the exercise was carried out in partnership with key stakeholders, including the Nigeria Police Force, Federal Character Commission (FCC), Ministry of Police Affairs, States Career and Counselling Departments, and the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC).

‎

‎The PSC spokesperson advised applicants who took part in the recently concluded written examination to visit the official recruitment portal, npfapplication.psc.gov.ng, to confirm their status.

‎

‎He noted that the portal would become accessible from 12:00 a.m. on Thursday, adding that successful applicants would also be informed through emails and text messages sent to the contact details provided during registration.

‎

‎According to him, candidates who made the list are expected to proceed to their assigned police training institutions on the dates and times that will be announced later for medical screening and documentation.

‎

‎He warned that any candidate who fails to appear within the specified period would be deemed to have rejected the offer, while those found medically unfit during the police medical assessment would be withdrawn from the training programme.

‎

‎Kalu added that successful candidates must arrive with their training call-up slips, National Identification Number (NIN) slips, Bank Verification Number (BVN) slips, original and photocopies of certificates, alongside other required documents and items listed on the recruitment portal.

‎

‎He also quoted PSC Chairman, Hashimu Argungu, as praising the Federal Government for approving the recruitment of the 50,000 constables, describing it as a significant step towards improving Nigeria’s security system.

‎

‎Argungu urged the newly recruited officers to embrace the opportunity as a responsibility to serve the country with honour, integrity and dedication in the pursuit of a safer Nigeria.
