Less than 24 hours to the commencement of the 2026 Ramadan fast, news had spread sporadically on the media in Nasarawa State about the mass distribution of tens of thousands of bags of rice, sugar, millet and other local consumables for the less-privileged community as the month of unwavering charity and deep commitment to serving God has set in.
Dr. Faisal Shuaib, immediate past Executive Director/CEO of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency and Founder/Chairman of DFS Foundation, as part of his regular ritual of distribution of food items, brought joy and succor to the people of the state with the exercise massively being carried out across the thirteen local government areas of the state.
Ramadan fast, which exemplifies sacrifice, prayerfulness, and particularly abstinence, has triggered a sense of philanthropy and genuine service to the people as he ameliorates their plight and fright in fasting period.
DFS Foundation is consistently establishing itself as a foremost philanthropic organization in Nasarawa State through its sustained charitable causes. Not only the regular immediate relief in food distribution, DFS Foundation has been seriously supportive of education development, human capital advancement, social empowerment and healthcare services delivery.
The Foundation has continued to make meaningful impact in the lives of vulnerable people through Dr. Faisal Shuaib’s humanitarian services which are unbelievably huge.
Accolades sprang all around spurred by the uncommon gesture by Dr. Faisal Shuaib, who is described as an angel in human form to the Nasarawa populace.
Some youth and women’s support groups in Obi and Kokona LGAs said the gesture is setting a new pace of leadership and philanthropy in the state, maintaining that it is his usual ritual to assist the less-privileged in times of paucity and abundance.
The Ramadan largesse will continually spark excitement and commendation from the citizens as it eases the people’s burden of survival during the spiritual exercise.
This commitment comes in complementing government’s efforts towards food sufficiency and security that must be demonstrated by all illustrious sons and daughters of worth to the vulnerable.
