The management of Rivers State University Teaching Hospital has expressed gratitude to the Nigeria Rural Electrification Agency, REA, over a 50kW Solar Hybrid System constructed for the healthcare centre by the agency.
An appreciation letter received by REA, signed by the director of administration, Okechukwu Chukwuigwe, for the chief medical director, Dr Friday Aaron, on behalf of the management and staff explained that the project was completed and handed over to the Hospital on Wednesday 17″ May, 2023.
The letter, which was made available to SUMMIT POST NEWS, reads: “I am directed to refer to your award and construction of a 5O0Kw Solar Hybrid System for the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital, Port Harcourt. This project was completed and handed over to the Hospital on Wednesday 17” May, 2023.
“The management, staff and patients of Rivers State University Teaching Hospital specially appreciate the Rural Electrification Agency/Nigeria Electrification Project for the donation to the Hospital.
“We shall fully utilise the power system for the purpose it was installed and also ensure the sustainability.
“Thank you and accept our best regards.”
