Mararaba, Nasarawa State – Renowned Islamic Tijanniyya leader, Sheikh Sediq Shuaibu, has urged Nigerians to cultivate the virtue of patience, describing it as an act deeply beloved by Allah. He made the call during the Moulud Nebiyi Celebration in Mararaba, Nasarawa State.
Sheikh Shuaibu, who delivered an inspiring address to the Muslim faithful, highlighted the importance of patience in personal growth, community harmony, and spiritual rewards.
He emphasized that patience is a fundamental teaching in Islam and essential for overcoming the numerous challenges facing the nation, including economic struggles, insecurity, and social divisions.
“Patience is key to enduring the difficulties we face as a nation. It is a divine virtue that allows us to have faith in Allah’s wisdom,” Sheikh Shuaibu stated, urging Nigerians to remain steadfast in their faith and collective efforts for a better future.
The cleric also prayed for peace and prosperity in the country and called on leaders at all levels to act with justice and wisdom to foster national development.
In her address, Seidah Rahma Usman, the convener of the event, spoke on the theme “The Right of Women in Islam and Failah,” urging Muslim women to deepen their understanding of Islam through Quranic classes, Islamic seminars, and digital platforms.
She emphasized the importance of knowledge as a tool for empowerment in both spiritual and societal contexts.
The event also featured Islamic renditions by various Azakira groups, marking a high point in the celebration.
