Suspected hoodlums planning attacks on various water facilities in the state have been warned to steer clear from the intended acts or face the wrath of the law.
State commissioner of water management and aquatic affairs, Hon. Daniel Ishaku, made this known in a press statement made available to SUMMIT POST News in Jalingo.
“It has come to the notice of the ministry that some group of individuals are planning to carry out attacks to various water facilities located in Jalingo and its environs.
“The ministry will not take anything for granted considering the huge resources committed by governor Agbu Kefas administration in the provision of portable and regular water supply.
“As commissioner in-charge of the ministry, I will not take anything for granted most especially as our dear governor Dr. Agbu Kefas has committed huge resources in making sure that the people of the state get clean, treated and regular water supply.
“We want to make it categorically clear that the ministry of water management and aquatic affairs do not sell water to individuals or groups of people but to ensure the availability of water supply to appropriate designated areas in the state.
It further appealed to residents and the general public not to take law into their hands, noting that the ministry will not fold its arms watching hoodlums planning to destroy peoples oriented projects established by the present administration.
The commissioner disclosed that the ongoing water maintenance project expectedly to be completed by August will enhance efficiency and regular water supply across board.
