TAJBank’s Profit Rises by 74%, Assets Grew to N1.34trn in 2025

TAJBank Limited, a non-interest bank, NIB, has grown its Profit Before Tax, PBT, surging year-on-year by 74 per cent to N31.562 billion for the 2025 financial year, FY.

The figure grew from N18.166 billion recorded in the 2024 FY, the bank’s 2025 audited financial statement says.

A statement by the bank’s Managing Director/CEO, Mr Hamid Joda, said in Abuja on Monday, that its total assets also grew to N1.34 trillion from N953 billion in the preceding year.

Joda said the bank’s non-interest lender’s total equity grew to N149 billion.

According to him, this reflects 144 per cent growth over the N61.250 billion recorded in 2024 among other positive Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of its operations during the year.

Joda described the improving financial performance of the bank as a clear demonstration of the management’s adoption of prudential financial approach in their operations.

He said the approach was already helping to grow investor confidence in the bank.

““I am using this opportunity to thank the shareholders and to assure them that their funds are secured and will continue to yield sustainable good returns on a yearly basis,” he said.

Joda expressed the determination of the bank to reward the shareholders for their commitment to the sustainable growth of the bank as Nigeria’s largest ethical bank by assets.

He said that the the bank’s board, at their 2026 virtual Annual General Meeting (AGM), approved 20 kobo dividend per share for the investors.

He described the 20 kobo dividend as one of the highest per share ratio in the country’s banking industry.

The statement quoted the banks’ Chairman, Alhaji Tanko Gwamna, as saying that the decision for the dividend payment was taken during the AGM.

“The Board rewarded the shareholders for their contributions to the growth of TAJBank as we have been doing over the years,” Gwamna said

The bank’s Executive Director, Mr Sheriff Idi, appreciated the shareholders for the confidence reposed in the management saying that the bank will also prioritise their interest in their operations.

NAN reports that TAJBank Limited was recently rated by the regulatory authorities as the biggest player in the NIB subsector.

This is based on its approved financial statements for the half year 2025, in terms of total assets and gross earnings values.

The bank had bagged three International Standards Organisation (ISO) certifications by the Certification Partner Global (CPG).
