A legal luminary, Jibrin Samuel Okutepa (SAN), has turned down request to be part of legal team to defend the mandate of the president-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Summit Post reports that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, had declared Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the candidate of Nigeria’s ruling party, APC, winner of the Saturday, February 25th presidential election.
The Senior Advocate of Nigeria, who is the founding Partner of J.S. Okutepa SAN & Company; a law firm based in Abuja, FCT, with branches in Makurdi, Benue state, and Lokoja, Kogi State, said Tinubu is too old to make any meaningful contribution to the development of Nigeria for the benefit of generations yet unborn.
JS Okutepa is reputed for his principled stand on issues. He believes legal profession is first an instrument for defending the weak against the strong, social justice for a better society. His unwaivering principles is reflected in cases he entertains/handles.
