President Bola Tinubu has appointed Folashade Adekaiyaoja as the new deputy director-general of the Department of State Services (DSS).
Adekaiyaoja, from Kogi State, becomes the first woman to hold this position in the history of the agency.
This appointment is part of the president’s effort to restructure the DSS and improve its operations.

National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, along with DSS Director-General Oluwatosin Ajayi, recommended her for the role.
