Days after the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) lost the Osun governorship election, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu hosted Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Gboyega Oyetola, a former governor of Osun State.
Also on Tuesday, President Tinubu also received the member representing Doguwa/Tudun Wada Federal Constituency of Kano State in the House of Representatives, Alhassan Ado Doguwa, at the Presidential Villa.
All the engagements were held behind closed-door.
Also to confer with the President was the Information Minister, Mohammed Idris.
The agenda of the meetings with the President was not immediately known as the visitors did not speak with journalists.
On Saturday, the Accord Party governorship candidate and Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke defeated the APC candidate to secure a second term in office.
