According to the statement, the United Nations Nigerian Association is committed to advancing the interests and well-being of Nigerian personnel and retirees within the United Nations community.

The association also serves as a vital platform for professional development, social networking, and cultural exchange among Nigerians and those interested in Nigeria’s affairs at the United Nations.

Speaking about her vision for the organization, the newly appointed President, a Strategic Planning and Monitoring Specialist at the United Nations Children’s Fund, Foluke Ojelabi, said she will ensure that UN is accessible to all Nigerians in New York and other cities where United Nations agencies are headquartered.

“our leadership team has one goal: to ensure that the United Nations is accessible to all Nigerians in New York and other cities where United Nations agencies are headquartered”, she said.

The newly inaugurated President while acknowledging the ongoing support of former leaders within the association.
