Nigeria’s Minister of Works, Engr David Umahi, has appointed Mr Francis Nwaze as his Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Media, according to a source.
Before his new appointment, Mr Nweze was the Senior Legislative Aide to the Deputy Senate President.
His appointment is with immediate effect according to the statement from Chief of Staff to the Minister.
The statement describes Nwaze as someone bringing extensive experience in public communication and media relations to the role.
Previously, he served as the Special Assistant to former Governor David Umahi on Media (Spokesperson) between 2019 and 2023, and earlier worked as Technical Assistant on Media from 2017 to 2019.
He holds a Diploma in Journalism, as well as Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Anambra state and Ebonyi State University Abakaliki, Ebonyi state.
