Thanksgiving to God has been described as understanding of his word.
The Pastor of Reformed Church of Christ for Nations (RCCN) Roadblock, Jalingo, Rev. Dr. Luka Musa stated this during a thanksgiving service in honor of the Commissioner, Ministry of Social Justice and Re Intergation, Hon. Filister Irarimam Musa and her son, Calvin Musa for obtaining Ph. D and Masters Degree respectful.
He spoke on the topic: The Power of Understanding and took his reading from the books of Luke 17:11-19, Proverbs 13:15, 2 Chronicles 2:9-10,1Samuel 18:1 and Daniel 9:12.
“Without understanding you cannot change anything in your life. Understanding our problem and challenges changes them.
“If you don’t have understanding, nobody would appoint you to any position.
“We are the causes of our problems, because we have not understand, and that is why we cannot change our challenges – he said.
According to him, good understanding connect people with higher people in the society.
“If you don’t have understanding, nobody would look for you nor demand for you.
“You will not have understanding until you read Books. When you read Books, you interact with higher brains.
“Without understanding you cannot be connected to the right people.
“Without understanding we cannot be relevant in the society – he added.
In her remarks, the Commissioner Ministry of Social Justice and Re Intergation Hon Filister Irarimam Musa, appreciated God for completing her Ph.D program in 2015.
She further appreciated Governor Kefas Agbu for appointimg her to serve in his cabinet.
“I didn’t search for the position, but God did it for me, I appreciate him.
“I am doing this thanksgiving service to appreciate God of 6-7 years of Masters Degree and my Ph.D
“My Son Calvin, went to school in Cyprus, but didn’t find it easy, he was sick.
“I give God the Glory for seeing me and my son through.
She dedicate her appointment to God, the Church, RCCN Roadblock and the Kuteb Community.
“We in RCCN Roadblock have never had this appointment, we give God the Glory.
On his part, Mr. Calvin Musa, appreciated God for seeing him through during his studies in Cyprus.
“I face challenges, but thank God for seeing me through. I advise those wishing to study abroad to check first the country they want to go.
“I want to use this medium to appreciate my Mother. She is hard working and don’t accept nonsense.
On his part, the Bishop of the Crown of Life, House of David, Bishop Innocent Solomon, applauded the celebrants for recognizing God by giving him thanks.
“She have done a great thing in life according to Hosea 4:6 , if you are not thankful, you will perish.
“Women if giving the opportunity, they can transform the Nation.
“She have set an example of a good woman who take the right decisions.
He advise other Women and people to emulate her.
