Residents and party faithful in Cross River North Senatorial District were thrown into festive excitement on Monday following the disbursement of ₦108 million by leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to support Christmas celebrations across the zone.

The gesture was announced during a stakeholders’ meeting at the Ogoja Local Government Council Secretariat, which attracted the Cross River State Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey; the Senator representing Cross River North, Distinguished Sen. Jarigbe Agom; Chief Higgins Peter; Chief Timmy Tom; and other notable APC leaders.
At the meeting, Senator Jarigbe Agom disclosed that he released ₦58 million to APC stakeholders in the district to enable them share the joy of Christmas with party members at the grassroots. He said the support was meant to deepen unity, strengthen internal cohesion, and foster a sense of belonging among party faithful.
Also speaking, Deputy Governor Peter Odey announced the release of ₦50 million to APC stakeholders in Cross River North for the Yuletide celebration. He described the intervention as a reflection of responsive leadership and a commitment to the welfare of party members during the festive season.
The leaders charged stakeholders to remain steadfast, peaceful, and united, stressing that sustained harmony within the party is crucial to good governance and accelerated development in Cross River State.
The meeting concluded on a high note, with participants reaffirming the rallying call of “One North, One People,” as Christmas celebrations gathered momentum across communities in the senatorial district.
